This is not a poem

Am feeling drained out completely
Both physically and mentally
My loyalty to my-kind
And long-held belief,
Fighting for supremacy,
Is at loggerheads today
My-kind feels angry, frusted,
Targeted, marginalised
My-belief, shaken to the core,
Boldly calls a spade a spade
Like adults, we tried to talk civilly
Instead we trolled each other mercilessly
Like adults, we tried to reason responsibly
Instead we lost track of all that was logic
All this while, that lady in white
Stood afar with closed eyes
Carefully weighing her options
Delaying and thus, denying justice
To that unfortunate soul
Who is lost to us forever
Her young life snuffed out cruelly
'Cause she was her father's daughter
