এতো উদাসীন কেনো তুমি 'আলো '
বড় সাধ আমার - বাসবো তোমায় ভালো
হাতটা আমার দু'হাত বাড়িয়ে ধরে দেখো না
একবার কাছে আসো না।
এই জ্ঞান শূন্য অন্ধকার মন
পিপাসিত আর থাকি কতক্ষণ
কিছুটা আসো তুমি, কিছুটা আমি আসি
পূর্ণ হোক মোদের ভালো বাসা বাসি
উদ্দেশ্য কি জীবনের বুঝিয়ে দাও না
একবার কাছে আসো না।
মনে এক গভীর ক্ষত চিহ্ন
ছিলো যে আপন আজ হয়েছে ভিন্ন
থাকলে পাশে তুমি প্রতিটি প্রভাত
হাসি মুখে সইবো সময়ের আঘাত
হয়ে ঔষধ ক্ষতটা সারিয়ে দাও না
একবার কাছে আসো না।
আবার লিখতে পারি যেন মুক্তির কবিতা
আঁকিতে পারি যেন সৃষ্টির ছবিটা
ভাসে যেন চোখে শুধু স্বপ্ন তোমার
হৃদয়ে জাগে যেন আবার প্রেমের জোয়ার
হয়ে গান কণ্ঠে তুমি সাজো না
একবার কাছে আসো না।

Why so disinterested my 'light'
Wish to spread love, don't jump in fright
Be that arm to claim my extended hands
Come close once, let's be friends
Bereft of knowledge, darkened soul
Thirsty I stay, tell me how long
You take few steps, I take a few
Allow me to make love to you
Be that goal I need to comprehend
Come close once, let's be friends
A gash carved deep in my soul
Happened as they left me all alone
Stay beside me every morning
For me to fight time's hammering
Be that potion for my cut to tend
Come close once, let's be friends
Help me penn again - poems of freedom
Let me paint again - nature's creation
Fill my eyes with only your dreams
Love is what my heart should feel
Be that song that I want to serenade
Come close once, let's be friends
